hēRo3 user accounts can be assigned different roles that determine permissions on the platform. Users may have multiple roles, as they are not all mutually exclusive. Please note that when you are accessing a shared model, permissions may be further restricted based on the permissions granted to you by the person who owns the model. A listing of user roles is provided below.
Role |
Description |
View-Only |
View-only is the default status for all users on the platform. Viewers can open models that have been shared with them as well as any models that they have saved under their own account. However, viewers cannot create new models or make structural changes to existing ones, such as making changes to health states. |
Modeler |
Modelers can create new models and make unlimited changes to existing ones. If you have a commercial license to use hēRo3, the number of modeler seats available depends on the terms of your organization’s hēRo3 license. Contact your hēRo3 administrator if you would like more information about modeler seats. |
Guest |
The guest role is intended to make it easy to provide restricted access to persons outside your organization with whom you would like to share a model. Guests cannot access linked-based shares; their access to models is by invitation only. Each organization’s hēRo3 administrator determines whether any users are allowed to share models with guests, and if so, who has such permissions. Guests cannot create new models or make structural changes to existing ones. |
External Modeler |
External modelers are similar to guests, but they have the ability to create new models as well as make structural changes to existing models. |
Administrator |
Administrators are responsible for managing their organization on the hēRo3 platform. Administrators can add or remove users and set organization-wide policies. |
